Advisor Relationship Consultant - Principal Financial Group

What You'll Do:

We are seeking an Advisor Relationship Consultant that will drive trust, deepen strong relationships, provide satisfaction, and be the expert for our products, tools, and services to our advisor partners. As an Advisor Relationship Consultant, you will:

• Deliver an advisor-focused experience that builds strong relationships to drive loyalty and satisfaction with key distribution partners.
• Serve as the advisor's single point of contact, responsible for overall service delivery, creating a strategic service plan or roadmap for their block of Principal clients to make the business more efficient.
• Contribute to retention and growth by providing support, tools, and training to advisors and their staff and becoming a trusted business partner through dedicated delivery of service.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 8+ years of related experience
• Must have knowledge of retirement plan industry, participant recordkeeping, plan compliance, plan consulting and relationship management
• Advanced business unit knowledge and knowledge of company products and services a plus
• Requires proven leadership, communication, interpersonal, technical, and problem-solving skills
• Must have strong understanding of the marketplace including employers, employees, and intermediaries, and can influence internal and external clients and partners
• Must have project management experience including ability to manage multiple complex projects
• Travel required including overnight stays (approximately 10%)

Licensing will be required based on state/federal laws and/or company policy in accordance with current licensing policy. The below licenses are required within 5 months of employment: 

• Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
• Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.

Salary Range Information:Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Salary Range:$77350 - $147600 / yearTime Off Program:Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.Pension Eligible:YesAdditional Information:

Work Environment

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
