AAA USA, Inc. is seeking meticulous Quality Inspectors to support our composite fabrication and assembly lines. This role involves inspecting precision electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and composite products. The ideal candidate will have aerospace or related industry experience, working with blueprints and technical documentation to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
- Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Utilize predetermined methods to visually inspect in-process and completed composite products, such as electronic units, electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical subassemblies, for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing components.
- Inspect Composite Assemblies: Review blueprints, CATIA models, diagrams, quality control specifications, and inspection checklists to dimensionally inspect composite parts, panels, spars, and assemblies.
- Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify and document any non-conforming materials, hardware, tools, parts, assemblies, or software in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Tool & Device Utilization: Operate a variety of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, scales, and other precision instruments to verify product dimensions and specifications.
- Process Control: Monitor and verify product quality using statistical process control or other control procedures.
- Line Clearances: Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure removal of materials from the previous lot, preventing cross-contamination.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Inspection: Inspect parts and assemblies from vendors or subcontractors to ensure they meet specifications.
- Quality Record Maintenance: Prepare and maintain detailed quality records in compliance with company and customer requirements.
- Cross-Training: Support continuous product flow by cross-training in assembly technician functions and assisting other team members as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years in quality inspection, preferably in aerospace or composite manufacturing.
- Familiarity with inspecting composite panels, assemblies, and subassemblies for structural integrity and compliance.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and CATIA models.
- Experience using inspection tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during inspection tasks.
- Ability to perform inspections in various manufacturing environments, where protective equipment may be required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Technical or vocational training in aerospace, quality inspection, or composite technology is preferred.
