This role is part of the Lunar Transportation business unit, which develops
Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue
Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space,
we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo
from Earth to the lunar surface.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, systems engineers,
and responsible engineers, you will be responsible for completing and
updating systems safety product across the lunar vehicle product lines.
Special Mentions:
Relocation provided
Occasional travel up to 25% of the time
1st Shift: 8am - 5pm
Interviews will include a technical assessment
Work from work - not a remote or hybrid role
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Failure Modes, Effects
and Criticality Analyses (FMECA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA),
Hazard Reports, reliability analysis, and developing mitigation plans
Support engineering teams in the identify areas of opportunity for design
improvements, minimize risk to people and property, and increase the
probability of mission success.
Participate in gated reviews to communicate safety and reliability analyses.
Apply a variety of technical principles and tools in Systems Engineering such
as CONOPs development, requirements analysis, and interface definition.
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years related technical experience
B.S. in Engineering or related technical subject area
Experience performing system safety and/or reliability analyses on
satellites or human-rated in space systems
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) using PTC or Saphire, Functional Hazard
Assessment (FHA), Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses
