AFSIM Analyst - Group W

Overview: Seeking an Operations Research Analyst to perform analysis of US military planning activities using modeling and simulation analysis, preferably with AFSIM. The successful individual should be proficient with mission and engagement-level models, simulations, and other operations research techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in physics, mathematics, engineering, or an applied science discipline.
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• U.S. Citizenship

Please Note: This is an on-site role supporting USMC Operations Analysis Directorate (OAD) in Quantico VA. Candidates must be willing to commute to Quantico to execute responsibilities.

Preferred:

• Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
• Master's degree in operations research, physics, mathematics, engineering, or an applied science discipline
• 5+ years of experience writing code in a collaborative or group work environment utilizing Git
• Working knowledge or understanding of AFSIM
• Prior military experience
• Prior experience writing Python, R, or Matlab code for pre-processing, post-processing, data analytics and data visualization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Applies skills to solve highly complex problems using statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric analysis, computer modeling, simulation, and regression analysis.
• Serves as an analyst responsible for developing and executing analytical models and methods that support warfighting analyses at the engagement level.
• Develops and executes mission-level representations and analyses of US, allied, and adversary forces executing warfighting concepts of operation.
• Advises other operations research analysts, scientists, or engineers on techniques best suited for tasked problems.

Salary: $90,000 to $160,000 depending on experience.
