After Hours Mid Level Provider - BATON ROUGE ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC LLC

Mid-Level Provider (Fulltime or Part-Time)

 About BROC:

At the Baton Rouge Orthopedic Clinic our goal is to provide a seamless continuum of health care services to maximize patients’ outcomes and convenience. We offer an organized and coordinated continuum to provide better and timelier feedback between the patient, physician, and ancillary services provider.

 Summary:

The position is in our After Hours Clinic and reports directly to the Director of Operations for all matters, including job duties, performance evaluations, approval of leave, and other assignments as deemed necessary for the benefit of the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC). The nature of the duties is to provide patient care in After Hours clinic setting.  The Mid-Level will treat patients in a caring, warm, and professional manner.

 Duties:

• Obtains patient history.
• Performs physical examination on the patient.
• Orders imaging and lab studies as appropriate
• Dictates visit notes.
• Prescribes medication, orthotics, braces, and other orthopedic devices as necessary.
• Formulates a diagnosis; and formulates a plan of care.

Qualifications:

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Family Accreditation) degree from accredited college required.

Current and valid state license.

2-5 years of Ortho experience in post op care and acute trauma.

Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Ability to learn computerized medical office systems.

Ability to pass a drug screening.

Ability to learn computerized medical office work.
