After School Liaison Job Details
Pay: $18.00 per hour + $6 gas reimbursement (per work day)
Type: Part-Time
Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:
- 4.5 or 5.5 hour shift
- After school (Approx. 12:30PM-6:00PM or 1:30PM-6:00PM)
- Monday to Friday

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist in the instruction and supervision of students enrolled in the afterschool program in the areas of academic and/or homework support, wellness/physical sports enrichment, personal development or academic enrichment at an assigned site to meet the needs of the students; assist the assigned supervisor in routine duties as needed.

Classroom and outdoor environment; contact with dissatisfied individuals; intermittent noise; repetitive activities; exposure to and contact with bloodborne pathogens.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
With reasonable accommodations, if necessary, seeing to monitor and oversee students; hearing and speaking to exchange information; physical agility to demonstrate games and activities; bending at the waist to assist students; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; dexterity to operate a computer; reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally, crouching to retrieve items from cabinets and shelves.

Qualifications and Skills
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Must have at least one year of experience working with school-age children in an organized setting and experience working with a diverse range of people
- Minimum of 48 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)
- Established proficiency in subject matter
- Detail-oriented and highly dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
- Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
- Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
- Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
