Aftercare Supervisor - Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center

Clinton Hill Community & Early Childhood Center is seeking a reliable and responsible Aftercare Supervisor to join our team. As an Aftercare Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the after-school program for our students. You will ensure the safety and well-being of the children, coordinate activities, and manage staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a passion for creating a positive and engaging after-school environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the preschool aftercare program for students
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Coordinate and manage staff schedules
• Train and provide guidance to aftercare staff
• Maintain communication with parents/guardians
• Manage daily attendance and sign-in/out procedures
• Handle discipline and behavior management, following center policies and procedures
• Supervise outdoor play and other recreational activities
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the aftercare area
• Collaborate with the Site Manager and other staff to ensure the smooth operation of the aftercare program
• Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with Child Development Associate Credential in Preschool Setting
• 5+ years experience working with young children, including children with disabilities
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage and supervise staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
• Ability to handle discipline and behavior management
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background checks
