SUMMARY: The Aftermarket Sales Manager position is responsible for ensuring sales goals and customer satisfaction are met within the assigned territory while achieving the KPIs set for the business unit, through:
• distributor, dealer and fleet pull through sales
• creating and implementing sales programs to enable growth
• studying and understanding the competitive landscape; translating that information into sales, marketing, and business plans
• creating short and long-term strategies related to the aftermarket sector
• translating market and customer needs into product and business planning development of sales tools and customer presentation materials
• embracing and executing the Shaw Core Values and actively supports the Company’s vision and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Determine customer product and support needs & wants through market research
• educate customers and industry on the value of our product via product training, supporting customers with preventative maintenance program development, and overall market awareness within the assigned territory
• Work with management of the Products group to design strategy and roadmap for aftermarket penetration and expansion
• Work with Warranty and Customer Care teams to ensure replacement parts are supplied timely and efficiently
• Gather customer requirements (Voice of the Customer) and share with Team Members and Management
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, OEM dealer networks, and fleets and promote opportunities
• Participate in direct customer user groups, trade associations and other forums to understand aftermarket trends
• Prepare short-term and long-term sales forecasts and special reports and analyses
• Promptly answer internal and external questions and requests related to aftermarket products and marketspace
• Utilize pricing optimization strategies to maximize profit
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of Shaw products and capabilities to support customer needs
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) to ensure consistent growth
• Communicate issues with Leadership Team at management meetings
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with customers, associates, and other departments that support aftermarket
• Provide input to the marketing plan to support the strategic plan.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Experience in sales, related field, and/or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the on highway commercial vehicle industry. Previous experiences in working with external customers, cross-functional teamwork and working in an environment translating customer needs into technology solutions. Technical background, or equivalent experience in a technical field preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: The applicant must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, source control drawings, technical specifications, quality and contractual documents, respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and be able to effectively present information to internal and external customers.

TRAVEL: 50% travel. This position is remote but will be based out of the assigned sales territory.
