Job Description: Cost Accountant needed to analyze, develop and review Labor Hour Costs, Machine Hour Costs for ALAM s core molecules by plant.
Highest Level of Education Required for this Position: Bachelors
Qualifications Cost Accounting SAP S4 Hana, Google Suite, Excel
Hours: Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM); potential for remote work 2 days a week.
The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing site costs at the manufacturing site or the profit center level and supporting site management to control on-site inventory.
The Cost Accountant will also ensure that costs are appropriately classified, and reported accurately, by helping to develop and analyze costs, assets and investments to support the site s ambitions.
Responsibilities for this assignment include but are not limited to:
Costs and Inventory Analysis:
Determine Labor and Machine Hours by product, for site and cost center.
Reviews product costing to identify costing errors. Root Cause Analysis.
Analyzes cost variance analysis and compares actual to system standards for both material and labor.
Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual job profit margins.
Validate accuracy of the inventory balances at the item and transaction level.
Inventory subledger to GL reconciliation and roll-forward by site.
Provides product costing for pricing and business decisions.
Cost budget working with site leaders to define detailed material, labor and overhead.
Weekly job/work-ticket/WIP profitability reviews and reconciliations variance analysis budget vs actual by jobs.
Required Qualifications And Competencies
Bachelor s in Accounting with demonstrated capability in cost analysis and 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or;
Experience with SAP is required;
Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
Experience partnering with site leadership, willing to engage people from all levels in order to increase cost awareness of the site;
High attention to detail & accuracy with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills;
Autonomous and able to work with cross functional teams;Ability to think critically, and manage multiple tasks and priorities;
Ability to prioritize, manage time independently, set objectives and milestones.
Preferred Qualifications And Competencies
Experience with Microsoft Power BI;
Proficiency in Google Sheets and Google Slides;
Performs other related duties as assigned.
