AI/ML Intern - Advanced Technology - GE Vernova

**Job Description Summary** GE Vernova Grid Software is looking for an AI/ML Engineer Intern to work with the Advanced Technology Organization. The AI/ML Engineer Intern will be responsible for developing models and code to support next generation AI/ML use cases to advance the software that is used by control room operators to control the grid. The AI/ML Engineer Intern will work closely with power systems engineer, software engineers, AI/ML engineers to develop, test, and deliver new features for proof of concepts (POCs). **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** - Collaborate with application engineers to develop AI/ML applications - Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. - Build AI/ML models using modern frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and LLMs. - Utilize data from many different sources to develop data for model training and input. - Use common methods for feature engineering, evaluating model performance, conducting hyperparameter tuning. **Required Qualifications** - Currently Enrolled in a Master's or PhD degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field. - Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), including large language models (LLM), deep neural networks, graph neural networks, time series forecasting. - Experience developing ML models (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) - Experience in Python programming language - Advanced statistics, linear algebra - Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA - Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship in summer **Eligibility Requirements:** - Must be willing to work in an office located in Bothell. - Unrestricted legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. **Desired Characteristics (Nice to have skills):** - LLMs (Prompt engineering, RAG) - Data preprocessing for AI/ML - AI/ML App development in cloud with either AWS or Azure - Knowledge of power systems, grid operations or similar dynamic system modeling. **Additional Information** GE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
