Job Overview:
You will lead the technical vision and strategy for our autonomous driving division. We are looking for a highly motivated and visionary leader with a strong background in AI and deep learning, who is passionate about shaping the future of autonomous driving. You will guide a talented team in advancing our perception algorithms and drive innovation across multiple levels, from hardware design to algorithm development.
This position will report directly to the CEO and is a leadership role, though it does not involve team management. The focus will be on leading the technology efforts for the project, with an emphasis on research and innovation to enhance our products and services. We are seeking someone with a strong background in perception algorithms, computer vision, deep learning, and experience in the autonomous driving space. This individual will play a key role in identifying and implementing technological improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of advanced deep learning perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles, including object detection, lane detection, and depth estimation.
- Shape the technical strategy and roadmaps to advance state-of-the-art autonomous driving technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate algorithms onto our cutting-edge chips and optimize their performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and breakthroughs in machine learning and computer vision, and introduce innovative ideas.
- Foster a culture of research excellence, encouraging the publication of patents and technical papers.
- Mentor and grow engineering teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and product strategies.
Qualifications:
- Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in autonomous driving technology.
- Strong track record of research and development in one or more of the following areas: AI, deep learning, computer vision, object detection, or sensor fusion.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and driving R&D initiatives.
- Proven ability to navigate technical challenges, making trade-offs between performance, power consumption, and flexibility.
- Experience with AI accelerator architecture/AI chip design is a plus.
- Passion for autonomous driving and a clear vision for its future development.
