We are seeking a hands-on, senior-level engineer with strong experience developing hardware simulations tools. What you’ll achieve: Play a key role in the development and implementation of cutting-edge hardware simulation software toolchains, with a focus on instruction set simulators and memory controllers tailored for RISC/ARM-like architectures.Develop advanced software models for processor features, ensuring accuracy in functional and cycle-accurate simulations, as well as seamless HW/SW integration.Spearhead the verification of software models within a sophisticated hardware-software co-simulation environment, guaranteeing reliability and performance.Integration of the ARM instruction set simulator with 3rd party system modeling environmentsAbout you: BS degree with 12 years of related experience, or an MS degree with 8 years of hands-on expertise in the fieldStrong experience developing modeling tools for performance analysis or Hardware/Software Co-simulation is required for this roleShowcase your advanced development skills in C/C++ and Python, demonstrating your coding prowess in creating innovative solutionsStrong understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and their execution patternsKnowledge of Instruction Set Architecture (ISA), CPU microarchitecture, and assembly languageExperience developing software on Linux environmentStrong analytical skills with ability to create, measure, and evaluate development tradeoffsEffective communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment What we’ll offer: At Ampere we believe in taking care of our employees and providing a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits
The full base pay range for this role is between $163,100 and $271,900, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $171,800 and $286,300
