QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proof of high school graduation or GED equivalent.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Flexible and able to adjust your daily routine.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
- Physically able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must have one of the following:
a. 48 hours of college credits, OR
b. Associates or higher degree, OR
c. Competency on the CFISD proficiency test (score of 70 or above).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Works under general supervision to provide clerical assistance to campus faculty and staff in a variety of campus environments.
- Answers inquiries and communicates with a variety of employees, callers and visitors in a courteous manner.
- Prepares and processes documents including, but not limited to, correspondence, mail, records, forms and reports.
- Maintains office, employee and/or student files.
- Orders and maintains supplies as requested.
- Accomplishes tasks using office equipment and computer software including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Participates in staff development as requested.
- Supervises students as needed throughout the school day inside and outside the classroom.
- Maintains confidentiality concerning student records.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; other specialized and adaptive equipment used by students
- Posture: Frequent standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Frequent walking and reaching
- Lifting: May require regular heavy lifting (45 pounds or more) and positioning of students with physical disabilities, control behavior through physical restraint, assist non ambulatory students, and lift and move adaptive and other classroom equipment; may work prolonged or irregular hours
- Environment: Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather), exposure to noise, exposure to biological hazards (bacteria, communicable diseases)
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
