GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This is job is at a Depot Level repair facility maintenance on types of aircraft, which include, but not limited to, F/A-18 A-G, H-1, and F-35. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.
DUTIES
- Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.
- Installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
- Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
- Locate, troubleshoot and diagnose issues in the electrical system or equipment.
- Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
- Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have at least three (3) year of relevant experience.
- Formal apprenticeship or equivalent training is preferred.
- A&P license not required but a plus.
- Prefer experiencefrom military fixed wing community or civilian heavy structure background.
- Experience in heavy structure U.S. Military or related FAA or civil aviation experience.
- Must have Military installation DEPOT level maintenance experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
