About the Job
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in aviation maintenance, engineering technology or reliability required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- 3 years experience as a Reliability Engineer or related experience.
Position Purpose:
- Under minimal supervision, contributes to the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and engineering data supporting the development and evolution of Gulfstream Reliability products and services.
Essential Functions:
- Contribute to downloading, reviewing, and maintaining Reliability Databases, including preparation of reliability reports and presentations to internal and external customers.
- Calculate aircraft reliability performance metrics such as, Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR) from reliability databases in support of internal and external customers.
- Contribute to Identifying and reporting reliability issues utilizing FRACAS data for the Gulfstream aircraft fleets.
- Contribute to the assessment of new and proposed modification to existing component design which includes review of Reliability Prediction Reports, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) Reports and Reliability Performance Guarantees.
- Determine and develop own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.
- Acts as liaison with representatives outside of the assigned group/area to support internal and external customer requests
- Actively seek improvements in daily processes.
- Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product. .
- Perform other duties as assigned.
