JOB DESCRIPTION:
Within C5ISC, the Shared Service, Business Operations Division – Field Coordination Depot Support Branch (BOD-FCDS) acts as the single touch point into the C5I Service Center for field units requiring depot support. Field coordination, in support of C5I Product Lines, facilitate deployment (installation activities) of approved Engineering Changes/Time Compliance Technical Orders (EC/TCTO) as well as sustainment maintenance services including preventative, corrective and adaptive maintenance. Sustainment maintenance, capturing electronic systems, encompass the product line’s systems over their full electronic systems life cycle. This also embraces the installation and configuration of all C5I services for afloat, air, shore, and deployable specialized forces platform types.
Provide Alarm & Announcing Systems (A&AS) support personnel for the BOD-FCDS branch to support the systems/equipment listed in Section 2.8.1. The (A&AS) Engineering Technician must provide logistical life cycle support of equipment/systems during the O&M, and disposition phases of the system development life cycle. The (A&AS) Engineering Technician must track and utilize USCG logistical and support tools such as CGFixIT (Remedy or latest C5ISC Incident Management Tool), EAL, ALMIS, SFLC Central and NESSS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide depot level (A&AS) equipment/system troubleshooting support to resolve trouble tickets, work orders and CASREPS generated from the USCG Centralized Service Desk utilizing, monitoring and updating CGFixIT (Remedy or latest C5ISC Incident Management Tool) or the Equipment Asset Log (EAL) application support tools.
• Provide (A&AS) equipment/system on-site technical support for analysis and/or repair requirements. In the event a site visit is required, the contractor must properly plan for the visit (Section 2.4) and provide a Site Visit After Action report within five (5) days after site visit (Section 2.3 - CDRL A002).
• Provide (A&AS) remote troubleshooting support, as appropriate, for identifying repair requirements.
• Provide a weekly status report of all (A&AS) Systems Incidents/Work Orders/CASREPs that the BOD-FCDS branch is actively supporting (CDRL A003)
• Maintain document management, including version/revision control and overall document organization.
• Support the BOD-FCDS branch ((A&AS) Engineering Technician) with the maintenance of databases to track documentation.
• Provide data collection support by sending emails and making phone inquiries to field commands/units, then organize and document the data obtained.
• Use Government provided feedback to make revisions/updates to technical and logistics documents and project plans.
• Provide the BOD-FCDS branch with support as the SME representative at meetings or represent the BOD-FCDS branch when the BOD-FCDS SME is unable to attend.
(A&AS) Engineering Technical Support duties must include (but not limited to) the following systems, as applicable to USCG Shipboard platforms:
• 1 Main Circuit (1MC), General Announcing System
• 6 Main Circuit (6MC), Inter-Ship Announcing System
• 18 Main Circuit (18MC), Bridge Announcing System, (i.e. Loudhailer)
• 21 Main Circuit, (21MC), Captain’s Command Announcing System
• 32 Main Circuit, (32MC), Weapons Control Announcing Systems
• 45 Main Circuit, (45MC), Research Operations Announcing System
UPS, (when exclusively part of the Shipboard A&AS Baseline Configuration)
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• 10 years of experience with troubleshooting and maintaining DHS or DOD equipment.
Certifications/Qualifications:
• Preferred that the candidate shall have completed a college electronics course curriculum with award of a BSEET/BSEE or achieved certification in an advanced electronics program from a technical school.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
