Summary:
The Allied Trade Specialist will support the Army Sustainment Center of Excellence (SCoE) by providing expert technical oversight and management of allied trades, such as machining, welding, fabrication, and repair of military equipment. The Warrant Officer will advise and mentor soldiers in advanced technical skills, ensuring the mission readiness of military assets through expert guidance on the use of specialized tools and techniques. The role includes managing allied trade operations and maintenance while contributing to the development and execution of training programs.
Responsibilities:Essential Job Functions:
- Fabricate, repair and modify metallic and nonmetallic parts, utilizing such machines as engine lathes, utility grinders, power cutoff saws, armature under cutters, arbor and hydraulic presses, drill presses, oxyacetylene, electric arc, inert gas welding machines and their associated attachments, accessories and tools.
- Principal functions associated with training development positions include implementing the ADDIE model and using TDC to manage the training development effort and standardize training programs and products (job/task analysis, lesson plan development, Training Support Packages (TSP), Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) documents, Individual Training Plan (ITP), Course Administrative Data (CAD), and Programs of Instruction (POI).
- Provide expert guidance on the repair, fabrication, and modification of military equipment, vehicles, and components.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are applied in all production processes, focusing on safety, precision, and efficiency.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be skilled in analysis, design, development, testing, management, standardization and evaluation of instructional systems and methods.
- Expertise in metalworking, machining, welding, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining a wide range of machines and tools used in allied trades.
- Excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Requires thorough familiarity with the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model, usage of the U.S. Army Training Development Capability (TDC) tool.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relate field.
