Opportunity to work with new soldiers entering Allied Trades in the Ordnance Corps. Become an instructor at the US Army Ordnance School working for an engaged and responsive small business.
- Provide academic instruction in performing various weld applications that include thermal cutting, welding processes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), various machining applications that include machine bench work, Computer Numeric Control (CNC) lathe, CNC milling machine and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
- Review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain vehicles/equipment supported by academic instruction
- Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom/laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks
- Conduct student critiques
- Review and provide pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-train, arrange and engage in instructional preparation and testing material, serve as an Assistant Instructor in classes
- Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction
- Assist in updating technical content of lesson material
- Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages
- Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re-configuring/setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and/or assist with outdoor training site maintenance
