Company Overview: A local Tualatin company is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join their team
You will spend most of your workday fabricating custom HVAC systems
This is an evaluation-to-hire position with a growing company with multiple incoming projects

Job Responsibilities:

• Use various welding processes to weld, repair, and join metal components according to shop standards.
• Produce quality products promptly that conform to all written practices.
• Operate appropriate equipment to assemble mechanical structures or parts with precision.
• Take the lead on safety reporting and tracking and act as an internal resource for design recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products according to shop blueprints, SOEs, OMSs, and AWS specifications.
• Utilize welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, and Resistance Welding.
• Cut metal using plasma cutters or grinding discs following shop blueprints.
• Pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet AWS certification standards.
• Operate equipment such as Chop Saw, Crane, Die Grinder, Drill Press, Grinder, and Bandsaw.
• Work safely and efficiently.
• Utilize lean practices to improve processes and maintain good housekeeping.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Problem-solving skills.
• Minimum one year of TIG welding on aluminum
• Flexibility to work in different areas as needed.
• Demonstrate safe working practices.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods on a concrete floor.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in high areas.

Compensation:

• Pay: $23.00 - $28 per hour, depending on shift and experience.
• Willing to discuss a higher wage if there is 5+ years of recent and proven experience.
