Summary/Objective
This position plays a major role in a guest's overall theatre experience. As a FM ambassador you must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication skills. You should be organized and able to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure. Ambassadors will also field questions about content, provide directions to the theatre, inform guests about prices/policies and upcoming shows and promotions.
Essential Functions
- Make certain guest service is friendly, helpful and fast
- Maintain facilities that are clean, safe and in good repair
- Provide an experience that is comfortable, distraction-free and picture-perfect
- Control access to theatre by greeting, directing guests and tearing tickets
- Enforce ratings to keep underage guests from accessing auditoriums with adult content
- Monitor auditorium for picture/sound quality, temperature, lighting and guest behavior
- Create a constant presence inside and outside auditorium to deter any disruptive conduct
- Assist with crowd control and seating of guests in auditorium
- Clean lobbies, restrooms, auditorium and all exterior and common areas of theatre
- Change marquees, auditorium, lobby signage and poster cases
- Answer questions from guests and resolve any concerns
- Assist with other functions as instructed by the General Manager
- Uphold Common Man’s high standards and deliver wow service
As an Ambassador at the Flying Monkey you’ll also be required to demonstrate:
- Proficient guest service, administrative and follow-up skills
- Comfortable communication and cooperation with guests, supervisors, peers, subordinates, vendors or partners
- Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basis
- Ability to present a calm demeanor that deters people from engaging in disruptive conduct while encouraging positive interaction with guests
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires evening hours and can be late night and frequent weekend work.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Prior experience working in a theatre.

- Must be 18 or older.
