The Ambulatory Pharmacy Liaison Coordinator is responsible for daily direct support and training of ambulatory pharmacy liaisons so that they can accurately perform daily tasks in a timely manner.

- 4. Maintain effective communication with ambulatory pharmacy liaisons, patients, and other pharmacy team members.
- 5. Under the direction of the Manager or Supervisor, Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services, oversee operations and coordinate workflow of the ambulatory pharmacy liaisons, including preparation and implementation of ambulatory pharmacy liaison policies and procedures.
- 6. Perform all ambulatory pharmacy liaison responsibilities as needed.
- 7. Ensure adequate staffing through scheduling of ambulatory pharmacy liaison and in accordance with the published responsibility grid.
- 8. Coordinate ambulatory pharmacy liaison recruitment including interviews, onboarding, orientation, and training.
- 9. Ensure preparation, implementation, and maintenance of ambulatory pharmacy liaison staff competencies.
- 10. Coordinate Pharmacy Technician Training Program ambulatory presentations and precepting opportunities.
- 11. Lead monthly ambulatory pharmacy liaison meeting, and other departmental meetings as needed.
- 12. Assist in collection of accurate, concise, and applicable data to support accurate reporting and team target metrics.
- 13. Work on departmental projects as needed by Manager or Supervisor, Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services.
- 14. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor, Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent required with additional training in fields such as medical office administration, pharmacy operations, social services, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of associate's degree program, or pharmacy technician training program.
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician or other relevant field, with a strong working knowledge of pharmacy operations is required.Experience with direct patient communication and customer service skills are required.Formal or informal leadership experience strongly preferred, as evidenced by project work, committee membership, and/or career ladder advancement.
LICENSURE
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Connecticut and/or Rhode Island Board of Pharmacy, as applicable, is required.National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) must be obtained within the first year of employment.Certified Pharmacy Technician program certificate preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
This individual must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Must be able to build a positive rapport and listen attentively to the needs of individual trainees /students. Must be able to develop employees through positive motivation and training.
