Attractive pay - $115,000.00 – $130,000.00

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Develops, oversees, and executes all grant opportunities and requirements.
- Assists the Board in developing a clear vision and strategic plan for the organization in the short and long term.
- Works with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies and procedures, and to ensure the foundation is operating in alignment with the mission.
- Engages with Amedisys, Inc. employees and patients to answer questions regarding funding opportunities or related questions.
- Assists with donor inquires via phone, email, or initiated third-party.
- Provides oversight to Amedisys volunteers or volunteer activities at the Amedisys office.
- Provides education/training to volunteers, staff, and Board of Directors.
- Collaborates with the Foundation President and the Board of Directors to create and implement annual fundraising initiatives on behalf of the Foundation.
- Provides the Foundation President and Board Members information recommendations for grant amounts or additional initiatives on behalf of the Foundation.
- Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the grants to employees and to patients.
- Assists the Board of Directors with recruiting members to serve on the Amedisys Foundation Board of Directors and established committees.
- Works collaboratively with outsourced partners to ensure the organization's financial systems are accurate, efficient, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Serves as a liaison for communication to/from the Foundation, including drafting letters, contacting potential donors, social media activities etc.
- Serves as a spokesperson for the Foundation during natural disasters, trainings, or related requests.
- Assists in providing new Board Member orientation.
- Approves expenditures within the authority delegated by the Board.
- Schedules quarterly board meetings, attends board meetings, and provides report of activities to the Board.
- Oversees and prepares quarterly board deck, year-end reporting, and ad hoc reporting.
- Ensures tight record keeping, records and tracks all checks or dollars received by the Amedisys Corporate Office from care centers/field donations.
- Ensures all Foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements and regulations.
- Conducts or retains a third party to conduct annual audits.
- Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate work experience.
- Three (3+) years of experience working with charitable foundations, preferably in the not-for-profit space.
- Proven experience fundraising and with volunteer management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across a variety of internal and external stakeholder groups; capacity to develop and maintain a successful relationship with volunteers, Board of Directors, and those in the professional community.
- Experience being a public spokesperson; comfortable with public speaking.
- Strong Microsoft Outlook skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent, written, oral and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Preferred:
- Experience managing finances in a non-profit setting.
- Experience coordinating outside vendors.
- Power BI experience.
