Job Title: Amusement and Recreation Attendants
Number of Positions: 20.
Job Type: Temporary Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More).
Duties: Perform variety of attending duties at amusement facility. Set-up, tear-down, operate amusement rides, food concessions and/or games. The OFLC ETA requested detail on specific portions of these job duties.
Amusement Rides set up and tear down: Mobile amusement rides are trailer mounted. A supervisor would position the trailer(s) at a specific location on the grounds, unhitch the power unit from the trailer, and move the power unit away from the ride. All of the pieces of the ride would travel on the same trailer(s) and be located proximate to their position when the ride is
in operation. Work would be performed by individual workers as members of a team, with some tasks being performed individually and some collectively. Restraints holding pieces of the ride while in transit would be released. Ride platform (if any) would be lowered and leveled. Track or railing (if any) would be positioned and connected. Sweeps, supports, bars, pins
would be positioned and connected. Cars, Seats, Bench or Carriage (method of conveyance for this particular ride) where patron would stand or sit while on the ride would be positioned and connected. Fencing, signage, ticket collection boxes and illumination would be positioned. Teardown would simply be these duties being handled in the reverse order & items being
stored and secured for transit to the next location. May include moving/positioning, maintenance, repairs and
refurbishment of equipment.
Food Concessions set up and tear down: Mobile foodconcessions are typically mounted in a trailer. Asupervisor would position the trailer(s) at a specificlocation on the grounds, unhitch the power unit fromthe trailer. The awnings covering the windows during transit would be raised and secured. Items such astrash cans, screens, tables that may be positionedoutside of the trailer but carried inside of the trailerduring transit would be manually moved from insidethe trailer to outside. Trailer would be cleaned, sanitized and stocked with supplies for the event. Anycounters, guidance railings, signage, decorationswould be positioned outside of the trailer. Condimentdispensers, napkin dispensers and trash containerswould be set up outside of the trailer. Typically thefair or event maintains the tables and chairs for patrons,but is some instances the worker may set up a limitednumber of chairs and tables for patron use. Teardownwould simply be these duties being handled in thereverse order and items being stored and secured fortransit to the next location.
Game Concessions: Mobile game concessions aretypically mounted in a trailer. A supervisor wouldposition the trailer(s) at a specific location on thegrounds, unhitch the power unit from the trailer, and move the power unit away from the gameconcessions trailer. To clarify the portion of the job duties that includesoperate mobile food concessions stand: On a carnivalmidway, when there is a mobile food concessions, astand is limited to selling only one or two specificitems, such as cotton candy, popcorn, turkey legs,roasted corn, or other specialty foods. The food isprepared in a production line, where an individualmay only perform one task, such as measuring corn and oil into a popper. The next individual would salt &bag. The next individual would choose correct bag asper customer order & hand to teller. The nextindividual would have taken order, taken m ney,m

Wage that the employer is offering: Employer will pay the prevailing hourly wage for eachwork location, ranging from $9.86 to $14.62, as perthe prevailing wage determination. Merit increases and/or bonuses may be awarded atemployer discretion.
(The wage offer will equal or exceed the highest of theprevailing wage or the Federal, State or Localminimum wage in effect during employment).
Overtime: Equal Opportunity, FLSA (13)(a)(3) exempt employernot subject to Federal hourly wage, overtime orrecordkeeping requirements. No overtime expected.Overtime, if any, calculated and paid as per applicable regulations.
On the Job Training? On-the-job training will be provided.
Wage Computation: The employer will use a single workweek as itsstandard for computing wages due.
Pay Frequency: Wages will be paid on a weekly basis.
Board, Lodging, other facilities, including fringebenefits: Optional mobile housing (valued at $175.00 per week)and local convenience travel (valued at $25.00 perweek) are available at no cost to the worker.
Deductions from Pay: Employer will make all deductions from the worker'spaycheck required by law. In addition, the employerintends to make the following deductions from theworker's paycheck which are not required by law: NONE.
Initial transportation and subsistence: If the worker completes 50% of the work contractperiod, employer will, consistent with applicableregulatory requirements, arrange and pay directly fortransportation and subsistence. Daily subsistence will be provided eitherat a rate of $15.46 per day during travel withoutreceipts to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receiptsor the applicable USDOL mandated fee in effect onthe date of travel.
Return transportation and subsistence: Workers will be provided with or reimbursed foroutbound transportation and subsistence consistentwith applicable regulatory requirements if theemployee completes the period of employment or isdismissed from employment before the end of theperiod of employment. If transportation is provided, itwill be by common carrier land or air conveyance atthe option of the employer. Daily subsistence will beprovided either at a rate of $15.46 per day duringtravel without receipts to a maximum of $59.00 perday with receipts or the applicable USDOL mandatedfee in effect on the date of travel.
Daily Transportation to and fromWorksite: If employee housing is not onsite at the worksite,employer will provide daily transportation to and fromhousing to the worksite at no cost to the worker.
Reimbursement to H-2B worker of visa andother related fees: H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workw
