| Description: The Analyst Data Products role sits within the Data Products team, and assists the Data Product Managers with many tasks related to both existing data assets and the creation of new ones. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide range of data-related activities, from exploratory data analysis and dataset documentation to maintaining data quality monitors. Ideal for analytical minds, this role requires a proactive approach to solving complex problems and the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations. By participating in various ad-hoc tasks, the Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the team's mission to build and refine data products that are critical for strategic decision-making. Essential Responsibilities: Performing Exploratory Data Analysis on new or existing datasets and assisting with documenting what the dataset expresses Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner Assisting in the build-out and maintenance of data quality monitors in a data observability platform Assisting product managers with the tracking of usage metrics across our data assets Collaborating with matrix partners to understand data problems and document potential resolutions Assisting Data Product Managers with testing efforts on new data assets Other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a related area; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience One (1) year of working experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) Knowledge of IT disciplines and interdependencies Excellent problem solving and structured thinking skills Available for overnight travel (10%) Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Experience and Qualifications: Prior experience in airline, transportation or hospitality industries Proven experience with dbt (data build tool), Snowflake, Monte Carlo, Tableau, and Azure Data Factory Prior experience on a technical product team Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and on time punctuality Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice Able to maintain a professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) |
