The Flat Rate Analyst develops and maintains flat rate files for aircraft inspection schedules in the BizAv sector, focusing on accurately assessing man hours to balance win rate objectives with profitability goals. This role involves continuous monitoring of OEM maintenance manuals for revisions that affect work scopes and corresponding man hours. The analyst also conducts analyses to ensure shops consistently meet flat rate hours, addressing significant performance deviations through flat rate updates or process changes to stabilize performance.
What you'll do:
- Communication of OEM revisions to all sites for over 150 different maintenance manuals.
- Build and revise standardized flat rate files coordinating revisions and necessary changes with technical experts across the business.
- Standardize internal document processes, to include: RPA scripted job cards, approved data references, inspection / build traveler data, material pick lists (automated), kitted material master lists, required tooling / equipment lists.
- Identify applicable work scope changes due to OEM revisions. Quantify changes in terms of hours, materials and tooling. Coordinate any changes with technical sales managers for quote record changes.
- Review established work scopes for required updates (part number changes, serial number effectivity, technical instruction updates, etc.).
- Periodically review historical work scopes to determine effectiveness of processes.
- Provide analyses to VP/GMs and service managers to assist with productivity performance improvements.
- May perform other duties as required by the Department.
What skills you will need:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with at least four years of experience in Business Aviation.
- Must have a high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in database management, spreadsheet software (MS Excel) and word processing (MS Word).
- Must have excellent quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to schedule meetings with applicable subject matter experts, technical sales managers, and Technical Sales Director on an as-needed basis to ensure ongoing maintenance of our flat rates.
- Proven track record of finding operational issues/inconsistencies causing shops to exceed accurate flat rates and communicating these issues back to appropriate management to change processes, mitigate future losses, and thus maximize profits. This will also ensure the continued accuracy of quoted flat rates.
- Preferred geographic region to reside in is Augusta, GA.
