Job Description:
- The Functional Quality Analyst for Digital Web and Mobile Applications will be responsible for ensuring that the web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
- This role involves analyzing requirements, designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, experience with digital platforms, and a keen eye for detail.
Requirement Analysis:
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
- Review and provide feedback on requirement specifications and technical designs.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Create test scenarios for various user stories, ensuring all acceptance criteria are met.
- Identify areas of risk and create contingency test plans accordingly.
- Execute test cases on web and mobile applications across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Verify that new and existing features function as expected and meet defined quality standards.
- Identify, document, and report defects clearly, ensuring issues are well-understood by the development team.
- Track defects through their lifecycle, retesting as necessary until resolution.
- Work with developers and product owners to prioritize defect resolution.
- Collaborate with the automation team to identify candidates for automation and provide input on automation test scripts.
- Use test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) to document and track testing activities.
- Utilize browser developer tools and mobile debugging tools to identify and diagnose issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to ensure product quality.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
- Communicate test results and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web and mobile testing.
- Propose and implement improvements to the testing process to increase efficiency and coverage.
- Evaluate the overall user experience, ensuring the application is intuitive and meets user expectations.
- Provide feedback on UI/UX aspects that could impact user satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in functional testing of digital web and mobile applications. Preferably from banking sector.
- Thorough functional knowledge on retail banking products/modules & Online channels
- At least part of one end to end digital implementation program in banking sector
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
- Proficient in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, etc.
- Experience with testing on various browsers, devices, and platforms.
- Familiarity with mobile testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
- Knowledge of API testing.
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- This role may require occasional after-hours work to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work in a clients locations or dedicated delivery center
