Overview
Reporting to the Manager of Data Security, the Information Security Analyst is a hands-on information security role which includes the design, deployment, and support of security systems and services. They will be a key participant in the corporate incident response plan.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and support information security systems and solutions. Examples: Vulnerability Scanning, Data Loss Prevention, SIEM, EDR, PAM, carbon black, splunk, Zscaler, proof point, rapid 7, cyber ark
- Proactively assesses potential risks and vulnerabilities, and drive remediation efforts. Examples: Project Risk Assessments, Threat Identification
- Respond to information security incidents, including investigations/forensics and lead cross-functional teams as necessary.
- Track and report on IT security issues as part of overall risk and project management
- Collaborate with IT Teams globally
- Recommend security enhancements and purchases
- Review firewall rules and recommend enhancements
- Manage vendors relative to information security systems and services
Principal Skills and Knowledge Required
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related IT degree or relevant experience (3)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, including intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability scanning, reporting, incident response and forensics, malware analysis, security awareness (1)
- Experience with PCI DSS Framework (2)
- Appropriate technical and/or security certifications preferred, (e.g. CEH, Security+) (2)
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. (2)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively. (1)
- Ability to interact with business and technical personnel at all levels (1)
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently or with a team. (1)
- Good project management skills (2)
- Overall knowledge of the Retail industry (2)
