Analyst, Middle Office – Venture Capital & Securities Lending Team Summary: The Middle Office Distribution & Funding (MODF) team is part of Global Investment Operations. The team provides oversight and daily operational support for Venture Distribution Management Services (DMS), Securities Lending, and Cash Management. Role Summary: We are seeking a Middle Office Analyst to administer and process the books and records for our Venture Capital accounts distributions. The successful candidate will coordinate, book, check, and validate transfers, settlements, redemptions, reconciliations. This role will also be responsible for operational functions related to our securities lending program covering our proprietary products, including direct oversight of our securities lending agents. The role requires an understanding of complex securities transactions, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The Analyst will be expected to provide effective coordination of process and information with other team members and drive process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Venture Distribution management Service (DMS): Take charge of assigned tasks related to workflow management, distribution preparation and processing, and coordinating with clients to collect all required distribution notices. Work independently within established procedures, controls, and checklists to ensure the accurate and compliant processing of Venture Capital distribution. Securities Lending (SL): Perform daily review and compliance check of SL information provided by lending agents. Aggregate and deliver periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, ad-hoc) reports to internal and external stakeholders. Participate in communication of loan opportunities between Lending Agents, Investment Liaisons, Traders, and Portfolio Managers. Manage loan parameter change process – new fund enrollment, fund termination, fund-specific restrictions, etc. DMS and SL: Act as a point of contact for complex problem resolution, providing expert solutions to clients, third-party vendors, SL agents, and internal team inquiries. Establish and maintain a robust daily handoff protocol to the US team, ensuring a smooth transition of ongoing distribution/Securities Lending activities, and resolution of outstanding inquiries, or issues. Proactively drive continuous process improvements, to enhance operational efficiency. Synthesize feedback from management and third-party vendors, ensuring improvement in timeliness and quality of service delivery. Typical Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Middle Office experience in one or more of the following areas – portfolio management support, investment operations reconciliations, pre-trade, post-trade processing Knowledge of venture capital or financial services industry a plus Exceptional analytical and communication skills, attention to detail and diligence Demonstrated ability to: identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk manage competing priorities and deadlines communicate clearly including strong presentation and negotiation skills collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships Interest or experience maintaining positive client-focused relationships, using investigative skills, and being confident in interactions with Clients and Front office Strong skills in Excel, Adobe, Word, and PowerPoint FINRA Requirements: FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role. Work Flexibility: This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home. Base salary ranges: $83,000.00 - $141,000.00 for the location of: California, New York $72,500.00 - $124,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C $66,000.00 - $113,500.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
