As a Quality Analyst, you’ll determine and document the modification/status of products being processed for repair or overhaul to verify compliance. You’ll also determine and document the modification status/configuration regulatory and customer requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Directs the planning, costing, scheduling, implementation, deliverables, evaluation, and troubleshooting activities of multiple assigned special projects by coordinating efforts of various internal departments.
- Monitors assigned projects for work in progress to ensure that quality and regulatory standards are met and that project designs are effective through the entire process; approves changes to designs or schedules as necessary.
- Produces periodic project status reports comparing actual to forecasted timelines.
- Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends and proposed process changes.
- Reviews factors in light of quality of product and reliability of quality during production.
- Assists a variety of individuals in the development of quality-related training plans.
- Prepares amendments to policies and procedures pertaining to quality system criteria within the organization.
- Provides, on an as required basis, technical advice with respect to quality system criteria, airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
- Performs or supports the efforts of others to design, develop and instruct curricula (classroom or on-the-job) utilizing instructional design techniques, including use of learning objectives, lesson plans, teaching aids and assessment materials.
- Develops and implements evaluation, validation or cost benefit analysis of training and sets training performance goals.
- Analyzes performance measures in order to identify training opportunities and to assess the impact of training.
- Coordinates the review, amendment, approval and re-issue procedure of all company instructions.
- Conducts quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 3-5 years of quality experience in a regulated environment
- Thorough knowledge of quality analytical tools and problem-solving methodology (RCA, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, SPC, etc).
- Strong project and time management, planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
- Thorough knowledge of quality, production, inspection processes and systems.
- Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
- Able to cross-functionally lead, direct, support, and mentor in quality systems and principles.
- Independent starter that can take and set team initiatives in an autonomous environment.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Preferred:
- Experience in the aviation industry FAA or other Civil Air Authority
- Experience in precision machining, metals, or welding
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to maintenance and certification for products processed by the organization.
- Thorough knowledge of gas turbine engine theory and performance.
- Thorough knowledge of NADCAP, AS9100, AS9110, and/or ISO9001
- College certificate in Quality Assurance Management; or equivalent.
