- This job is part of the Media & Performance Marketing Team within the Global Engagement Division.
- Responsible for leading the planning, development and execution of paid media supporting advertising campaigns which build brand preference, loyalty, and drive flight bookings.
- Leads the media agency and partners to build & execute campaigns, measure their impact and optimize campaigns to maximize return on investment.
- Helps the team to innovate and stay on top of advertising trends and manage advertising technology and tools used to track and measure campaigns.
What you'll do
- This position is fast paced and responsible for delivering high-visibility projects
- Leads the Paid Media strategy for American Airlines B2C marketing
- Manages the day-to-day relationship with our advertising agency
- Leads all efforts across paid media with the main focus in Digital & Social paid media, but also other channels including but not limited to TV, OOH, print, radio; collaborating closely on paid Search
- Understands business metrics and align media optimizations with company revenue objectives
- Collaborates closely with Ad Tech & Analytics to ensure optimal campaign performance from start to finish
- Works with marketing teams and/or media agencies to support & prioritize pixel implementation and tech integrations efforts
- Leads work needed to prepare marketing for cookieless campaigns & measurement
- Liaises with IT, Digital, Privacy & International teams to stay on top of technology needs, enhancements & ever-changing privacy landscape
- Champions innovative media opportunities with a test and learn attitude towards optimization
- Builds and presents well-communicated plans and results to senior leaders
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training
- 3 years of experience in a media agency or B2C marketing role with a focus on paid media
- Ad agency, Ad Tech or media planning background
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Masters degree
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Ability to inspire, support and understand the interplay between people, processes and systems; must be a strong project manager
- Excellent understanding of media and ability to foster collaboration between teams of marketing managers, strategists, designers, and agencies
- Solid understanding of digital media including KPIs and measurement
- Understanding of evolving ad technology environment including CDPs, Ad Servers and/or impact of ‘cookieless future’
- Conscientious and adept at solving issues at all levels of a project
- Collaborative with multiple stakeholders; communication and teamwork is critical
- Top-notch written and verbal communication/presentation skills with a strong attention to detail
