We are currently looking for an Anatomical Pathology Product Specialist based remotely in the Continental United States. The AP product specialist's goal is to ensure the profitability and continued growth of the AP product portfolio. Working with the design engineering team, a product specialist reviews a product design, suggests enhancements, conducts potential customer surveys, and oversees development to ensure marketability of the product.
The AP product specialist support the distributors network on the field with product demonstration and user training.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough market research, which may include taking surveys, doing desktop research, sending emails, and making calls, and even attending product launches of rival companies.
- Answering all product-related questions in a professional manner and addressing queries promptly.
- Collaborating and strategizing with the business and engineering teams.
- Attending workshops and refresher courses in sales and marketing.
- Planning and assisting with new product releases and events.
- Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Identifying new market opportunities and relaying this information to the Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
- Making helpful product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue.
- Supporting the development of new products.
- Improving the development of existing products.
- Analyzing and documenting the product development process.
- Leading internal and external audits of the products.
- Building and maintaining customer relationships and providing the necessary support to the customer-base.
- Collaborating with the development team and Product Manager
We are looking for a candidate with these skills:
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Anatomical Pathology Lab environment and Workflows
- Proactive and result-driven professional with the ability to work with cross-functional and cross-border teams as well as to cope with a flexible-load environment
- Experience working in AP/Histology Lab or in equivalent role in AP industry,
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Availability to travel 50% within United States and possible infrequent overseas for training in Italy
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Lab technician background, Biologist or similar (HT Certification a plus)
Nice to have:
- Data analysis
- Project and Time Management
- Knowledge of other language
- CAD drawing
- Knowledge and experience with Histology LIS software and EMR a plus
