Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, a southwest suburb of Chicago, is a Level I trauma center, providing emergency care for more than 105,000 patient visits annually. Nationally ranked for gynecology, cardiology and heart surgery, Advocate Christ also is a major referral hospital for several specialties, including cancer care, heart and kidney transplantation, neurosciences, orthopedics, and women’s health.
Job details
- Full spectrum practice (arterial lines, central lines, regional anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia)
- Diverse Case Variety: Ranges from simple to complex, including general surgery, GI, ENT, and healthy low-acuity patients. Active solid organ transplant program offers exposure to high level care for those interested in participating.
- Practice at a single center – no mandatory cross coverage of other sites
- Adult Only Practice (13+)
- Collaborative MD-CRNA Model: Approximately 40% of cases are handled with a 1:3 medical direction ratio, while around 60% are MD-only cases.
- Anesthesia Tech and Anesthesia Nursing Support
- Supportive Call Schedule: 6-7 weekday first calls per year, with guaranteed post-call days off for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd calls, flexible OB coverage, with no traditional OB call.
- Work-Life Balance: Standard rotations through workdays with late starts and guaranteed early end times.
- Competitive Compensation: $600K+, plus 8 weeks of vacation, dedicated CME time, and guaranteed post-call days.
- Advanced Technology in a Level I Trauma Center: State-of-the-art facilities, including hybrid operating rooms.
- EPIC EMR System: Advocate Health, as the nation’s largest EPIC user, ensures an optimized EMR system
Training and/or experience required
- Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
- Board-eligibility or board-certification in Anesthesiology
