About the Job
Anthropologie is looking for a Sweaters Design intern to join us for the Summer of 2025. This intern would focus on working with the sweater team and would support our growing categories in the business. The sweater intern will utilize hand sketching, sewing, knitting and CAD skills to communicate design ideas in the development of product.

The URBN 2025 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/2 through 8/8 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.
Summer Internship Program Application Process:
- Apply to one (1) internship posting that best suits your interest & skills. If there is a project component required for the design internship position you are applying for, you will be notified directly by 11/8. If requested to complete a project, it is required that you submit this to be considered for a position.
- Complete Video Interview: Candidates selected will receive an email with a link to complete a video Interview. You will have 2 days to complete this portion of the application once the email is received.
- Interviews will be scheduled with our internal teams, continuing on a rolling basis.
Applications will close at 5:00pm EST on November 4th 2024.
Role Responsibilities:Collaborate with the design team to identify emerging trends and contribute to inspiration research.
General understanding of yarn and stitch practices and techniques.
Assist with designing product, selecting trims and colors as directed by design team.
Create original artworks relative to the seasonal concept.
Assist in the creation of tech-packs and partner with cross-functional Product Development Partners.
Attend and participate in weekly design meetings, fittings, knitting room meetings, and relevant benchmark meetings.
Thorough understanding and appreciation of our customer/brand.
Passion for design with the ability to recognize and translate trend direction into brand appropriate product.
Extremely strong hand-sketching and CAD skills.
Understand basics of the design process and garment construction and possess general fabric knowledge.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
