About the Job
I. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The American Osteopathic Information Association (AOIA) is at the forefront of engaging the Osteopathic community in healthcare innovation with connections to over 170,000 Osteopathic physicians and medical students. As one of two program interns with the AOIA, you will contribute to the development and implementation of our Member Value initiatives, gaining hands-on experience in healthcare innovation, project management, and network building. This internship is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of medicine.
This is a hybrid position in Chicago, offering part-time hours (up to 20 hours per week). It is a non-exempt hourly role that is not eligible for benefits. The expected pay for this position is $22 per hour.
II. RESPONBILITIES
• Assist in developing and implementing innovative marketing campaigns and new programs to enhance AOIA’s portfolio of member value offerings, including the AOA store and affinity partner programs.
• Support market research efforts and analyze data to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and propose new strategies for member engagement, particularly focusing on the Career Center in partnership with HealtheCareers.
• Help create and manage engaging content for AOIA’s digital platforms, using analytics to optimize outreach and improve member value initiatives.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Healthcare, Informatics or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
• Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts and tools (SEO, Google Analytics, email marketing).
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

As an AOA-accredited CME sponsor, the AOIA is involved in the coordination and development of AOA-accredited online CME. Membership in the AOIA is extended to all AOA members.
