AP Accounting Specialist - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Job Duties/Description:

* Payables: 75% of the time

* Process incoming invoices from vendors and suppliers accurately and in a timely manner.

* Verify invoice accuracy, including prices, quantities, and terms of payment.

* Obtain necessary approvals for payment processing.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding invoice processing.

* Resolve discrepancies with vendors and suppliers regarding invoice payments.

* Maintain vendor records and communication for inquiries and issue resolution.

* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Or a 2 year degree.

* Proven experience (2-5 years) in accounts payable and preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel, and 3PL is highly preferred.

* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
