Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with proven experience in a management role, demonstrating a hands-on and involved approach to leadership to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the accounts payable process, extensive experience with payment forecasting, statement reconciliation management, internal controls, and the motivation to help make existing processes better or create new ones. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounts Payable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the Accounts Payable function, including but not limited to coding invoices, verification and entering vendor invoices for approvals, wire set ups, weekly check runs, vendor communications, month end close, accruals and reconciliations.
- Works closely with the purchasing department to ensure a smooth Procure-to-Pay process.
- Oversight of both the corporate credit card program as well as the Concur expense reimbursement program.
- Establishing relationships across departments and business units to obtain proper approvals for invoices.
- Assist as a team member with the implementation of an automated systems or ERP upgrades.
- Review vendor statements and reconcile missed invoices and identify discrepancies and credits.
- Support the finance departments with accounts payable projects as required.
- Manages year-end IRS Form 1099 reporting process.
- Ensure all internal control procedures are understood by the team and they are performed as required.
- Manage vendor master data, including compliance with new vendor set up processes and internal control policies.
- Supervision and mentoring of direct reports; including review of work to ensure that invoices and payments are appropriately recorded.
- Document policies and procedures
- Providing timely audit support for internal and external compliance audits
- 3-5 years of management experience overseeing a team of at least 5 or more
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or Business preferred.
- Accounts payable manager role in a multi-unit high-volume environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365 + strong Excel preferred (pivot and VLOOKUP. formulas)
- Self-motivated, proactive, critical thinker with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Work independently with limited supervision
- Partner with the Senior Director of Accounts Payable on projects, audits, and team accountability
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
Pay Transparency: Min $75K - Max $90K
