We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow and expand your skills while working with a diverse team of professionals. You will play a critical role in our finance department, ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
As a AP Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
2. Managing and preparing 1099 forms for independent contractors and vendors.
3. Reconciling credit card statements on a monthly basis, resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
4. Processing purchase orders, verifying the accuracy of order details, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided.
5. Calculating and reporting sales tax for month-end reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
6. Preparing daily deposits, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
7. Collaborating with the rest of the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent AP Specialist position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of invoice processing, 1099 form preparation, credit card reconciliation, purchase order processing, and sales tax reporting.
3. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
7. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
