AP Specialist at Express Employment Professionals

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team.

 

Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, receipts, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat, and be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

 

Pays $20-$24 DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm 

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Generate and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Address any discrepancies or issues with invoices promptly.

• Payment Collection: Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment. Communicate with clients regarding payment status and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable to ensure accuracy of records and resolve any discrepancies.

• Documentation Management: Maintain and organize all accounts receivable documentation, including invoices, receipts, and payment records using Adobe Acrobat for creating and editing PDF documents.

• Reporting: Prepare and generate reports on accounts receivable status, aging, and collections for management review using Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues related to billing and payments.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant financial regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.

• Technical Skills:

  • Excel: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and use formulas and functions.
  • Word: Proficiency in Microsoft Word for document preparation and formatting.
  • Adobe Acrobat: Experience with Adobe Acrobat for creating, editing, and managing PDF documents.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
