We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented AP Specialist to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a temporary to hire position, providing an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their abilities and potentially secure a long-term role within our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing activities within the accounts payable function, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and vendor statements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Handle truckers payable, ensuring all payments are made accurately and on time.
- Utilize Netsuite for accounts payable processing and reporting.
- Prepare 1099 forms and other financial documents.
- Use Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in billings and payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline and improve the accounts payable process.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on accounts payable status.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
- Knowledge of truckers payable would be a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
