API Tester
Location – North Houston, TX – – in-person interview required
Duration – 6 months
USC,GC,TN & GC-EAD ONLY
• Has strong Test Design, Test Case definition and Software Testing skill sets
• Has a strong working knowledge of many complex applications including multi-tier architectures
• Has a strong working knowledge of Application Interfaces and Web Services (REST)
• Has working knowledge of TFS and MTM technologies with preferred working knowledge of CHEF or similar technology
• Has experience in design and creation of Automated REST API test scripts, preferably using SOAPUI.
• Has a working knowledge of RESTful design/development of Web Services using .Net technologies/techniques
• Has experience working in Agile/SCRUM environment
• Has experience in Design and Implementation of Software Test Integration capabilities across applications/services
• Has good understanding of most elements of a successful Software Development Program, including, but not limited to, Unit Testing, API Testing, Manual/Automated Testing, Software Functional Requirements/User Stories, Code Design/Review and Defect Management.
• Can demonstrate a strong understanding of Software Development and Testing methodologies
• Has experience in Data creation/manipulation and Test Automation
• Can demonstrate effective usage of common Test Tools (e.g. Defect Management, Test Management, Requirements Management)
• Can write clear, concise and sufficiently detailed Bug Reports
• Can author, implement and communicate Test Plans and status to Team and Management
• Understands the principles of Data Driven Testing and Action Based Automation design
• Is detail-oriented
• Can demonstrate good troubleshooting/problem solving skills
• Has attention to detail
