- Position Summary
Under general direction provides technical support for applications maintained by the Information Technology department utilized by MCH Ambulatory Practices. Responsible for supporting application functions essential to the successful operation of the Practice. Provides consulting/leadership on projects and processes that range from straightforward to complex. Formulates/defines project scopes and objectives. Responsible for various applications software development, maintenance, documentation, debugging, and implementation stages. Monitors and supports end users with workflow and optimization. Assists management in planning, organizing and analyzing pertinent requirements in the assigned application area. Investigates user issues and processes. Resolve issues and suggests/implements process changes and improvements. Serves as a liaison between Physician Practices, IT department and other support teams.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Work Experience
- Two years’ experience working in IT with emphasis on application management and end user support required.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems or closely related field required (OR) Associate's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field and two years of related work experience required.

- As directed is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of assigned applications.
- Under general direction, serves as an Ambulatory Application Analysts team member for analysis and technical activities that support clinical and financial systems.
- Supports the Director of IT Financials and the lead Ambulatory Analyst, along with other IT team members. Works directly with end users in design analysis, testing, implementation and support activities including optimizing applications, implementing new applications/projects, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Offers an advanced level of project management while serving as the lead of multiple projects or a single project with great significance. Projects should be lead from start to finish with successful completion, time sensitivity, and within budget.
- Reviews moderate to complex new and existing applications to ensure appropriate controls exist, that workflows are efficient and accurate, and that systems and procedures are in compliance with corporate standards and streamlined.
- Confers with software vendors concerning implementation, module/software upgrades and enhancements, and software issues.
- Keeps documentation concerning application setup, software bugs, testing, reported problems, follow-up steps, and problem resolution. Uses IT work order system to document issues/problems that are reported.
- Works with end users to determine their IT requirements. When appropriate, customizes applications software and systems for end users to satisfy their requirements.
- Analyzes software malfunctions using test data. Analyzes, reviews and altars programs to increase their operating efficiency or to incorporate new program requirements.
- Analyzes software and incorporates changes/enhancements/upgrades to support and comply with regulatory requirements and/or user/department requirements to ensure competent use of systems and integrity of data and applications.
- Confers with other companies and health care facilities on various topics or problems to gain insight as to how others handle and resolve similar problems.
