Job Description:
Technical skills – Good experience of working .NET and related technologies. PL/SQL, SQL and Oracle database knowledge, good understanding of Java related applications
- In-depth understanding of distributed application hosting.
- Assess application essentials – security, logging and reporting, interfacing and connectivity to external systems, load balancing etc.,
- Identify application dependencies on hardware and infrastructure stack
- Develop application migration strategy (infrastructure migration)
- Identify application performance considerations and tuning
- Assessment of applications towards object oriented concepts, preferably with .net and/or Java platforms
- Understand the architecture of existing applications.
- Identify the dependency between the usage of specific libraries in the application w.r.t to the software version
- Work on remediation details to bring the application to the latest software stack
- Identify downstream impacts and provide details on the application design changes
- Co-ordinate with technical lead and offshore for the changes to be done in the application (s)
