Crossroads Software is a grassroots technology company dedicated to the end-user experience. We create software for reporting and analytics of traffic collisions and citations. Police and traffic engineering departments use Crossroads applications to write and manage collision reports and citations, analyze and track trends in traffic safety, and intentionally direct efforts and resources.
The Advanced Support Specialist will work with our tight-knit team to help software end users and client IT personnel quickly solve problems and provide client-side installation of our proprietary software on mobile devices (iOS, Android, and Windows), local workstations, and SQL and IIS servers. Since our software is proprietary, applicants must have demonstrated ability to learn on the fly. This position will also require assessing new system releases, patches, and configuration changes and collaborating in planning, designing, developing, and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing applications.

Required Experience and Skills
- Pass an FBI background; ship is required
- 3 - 5 years working in SQL server (2012 or later) using SQL Server Management Studio to manipulate data and run basic scripts
- Experience working with Microsoft Server 2008 and later, Windows Service applications, and desktop computers running Windows 10 or higher
- Fundamental to moderate understanding of networking best practices and firewalls
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated ability/desire to learn new skills and solve ambiguous problems
- Willingness to teach others/share knowledge
- Comfortable navigating an informal learning environment
- Understanding of data flows, file structures, and file permissions
- Compile client feedback and requests and consult with the team on how to best serve clients.
- Explain complex technical information to clients in an easily understandable way.
- Experience navigating the iOS, Android, and Windows interfaces on multiple hardware platforms such as iPhone, iPad, Samsung, GeTac, and Panasonic Toughbook.
- Impeccable organizational and time management skills
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Working in a remote environment across time zones
- Experience creating client documentation, both written and video
- Familiarity with Monday.com, Google Suite Workspace, Microsoft Access
- Experience working with rugged, mobile Bluetooth printers such as Zebra and Brother.
Working Conditions
- This position works remotely 100% of the time.
- Although flexible, this position typically works a standard work week (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm PT) but may be required to occasionally work some evenings and weekends to address urgent client issues.
- Must have reliable internet access.
