- Experience working with financial companies is very important. Specifically financial trading background with skill sets such as: OTC, FIX, Derivatives, Fixed Income, CDS, Futures, and Trading.
- This consulting position will provide day to day support of Clearing House applications in a support role. This is mainly on Windows and MS SQL server but will be moving towards process improvement on different platforms. The requirements are as follows:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 1 to 3 years hands-on experience in direct support or Application Support, some Windows administration, or infrastructure. Development in C#, VB or scripting a plus. Ideally the candidate would have hands-on experience with 3rd party agent based software (i.e. UC4, MS SQL Developer, Confluence). Candidate must have excellent customer service and communication skills. The ability to communicate well across multiple departments is required to facilitate problem resolution and escalation of environment issues.
- Qualified candidates must be a quick learner and self-sufficient.
- This candidate will have worked in a fast paced dynamic environment which requires excellent customer service skills.
- Unix skills highly desirable.
The duties for this candidate are as follows:
1. Support day to day systems in Clearing House infrastructure.
2. Support existing development/QA platforms and interfaces with users to determine where improvements or enhancements are needed to better serve their needs.
3. Interface with CME departments and assist with modifications required to support enterprise-wide system changes.
4. Define and document infrastructure support processes.
5. Lead problem resolution or opportunity identification efforts in support of exchange initiatives.
6. Provide technical advice to management as new technologies emerge and evolve.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve break fix related issues assigned from Ticket tracking systems
