The Role
The successful candidate will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Applications Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
- Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
- Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
- Manage the Accelerated Analytics Azure environments (Devl, Test and Prod).
- Monitor performance on all environments (CPU, disk space, etc.) to ensure smooth running of all environments.
- Limit downtime on all environments. Resolve production break fixes within 24 hours.
- Builds models for extracting and/or loading data.
- Ensures all hardware and software are updated.
- Authenticates data collections.
- Monitoring the performance of hardware and software
- Configuring servers and databases
- Preserving data integrity
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or mathematics degree is highly desired.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of 1 year creating and maintaining an object orientated application.
- Knowledge of chemistry data and lab equipment.
- Extensive experience implementing security-based data solutions for statistical and analytical use.
- Experience working with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing.
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent logical and problem-solving abilities.
- Microsoft training and certification will be considered a strong asset.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Very high attention to detail
