About the Job
The role of the Applications Engineer is to provide technical support to the sales team during the sales process with prospective customers and to existing customers once the sales process is complete. Work is primarily tactical or operational in nature but may involve strategic issues. While primary focus is on pre-sales applications support, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring Total Customer Experience, company policies and administrative reporting performance objectives are met within the assigned geographic territory.
Responsibilities
· First response to any applications question(s) arising during the sales process
· Assisting with 3D modeling and design
· File preparation before printing, including fixing files, slicing and setting printing parameters\
· Operating and maintaining systems in demo or other reference sites
· Involved in benchmarking discussions to make sure benchmarks are printed and delivered to meet the prospect’s requirement(s)
· Packing and shipping benchmarks and samples as needed
· Post processing and finishing samples and benchmarks as and when necessary
· Installing machines at new customers’ sites
· Being the first response to customers’ technical issues
· Visiting customers’ site and assisting with machine repair to ensure customer satisfaction
· Working closely with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
· Readiness to work in a start-up environment in a fast growing, dynamic company
· Working with Massivit’s CRM system for monitoring/reporting benchmarks status
· Appropriately utilize and leverage all resources to drive your results
· Execute on key initiatives as communicated to you by management
Education, Experience and Skills
Associate or Bachelor's degree or trade school certification in Engineering, Design, 3D Printing or other technical; prefer 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the following areas:
· 3D Design Software
· 3D Printing Equipment
· Onsite and remote technical support troubleshooting technical problems
· Onsite customer visits and equipment repairs
· Technical assistance providing within selling process
· Capital printing equipment installation
· A self-motivated, go-and-get approach and the will to win
· Product demonstrations
· Project management role
· Detailed reporting of customer issues and resolution
· Working with external partners to deliver solution sales
