This person will oversee and manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom applications. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets related to custom application projects. The Applications Manager will be responsible for managing software applications for Monument Chemical. Essential Functions
- Hands on manager performing project execution, business engagement, task & team mentoring and management.
- Responsible for Custom Application Development & Support, Support for Off-the-Shelf ERP Systems and Software Packages and Data Development, Reporting, Business Intelligence, and Analytics
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and manage workloads to ensure timely completion of projects and initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate training opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in the day-to-day operations and implementation of solutions across all three pillars of application management, demonstrating a hands-on approach and leading by example.
- Administer and provide technical support for ERP systems and other software packages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ERP systems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for software updates, patches, and enhancements.
- Train and support end-users on ERP system functionalities and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Engage directly with ERP system configurations and integrations as required to meet organizational needs.
- Develop and manage data models, databases, and reporting tools to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Design and implement dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all reporting and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with departments to identify data needs and develop solutions to address those needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance data analytics capabilities.
- Directly work on data integration, reporting, and analytical tasks to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Required Bachelor's Degree Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science or related field
- Required 8+ years applicable experience
- Required 3+ years leadership, mentoring, and managing a small team of application development employees, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
- 10-20% domestic travel
- Proven experience in application management, including custom application development and ERP systems support.
- Strong technical skills in programming, database management, and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing and mentoring a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and end-users.
- Experience in project management and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Hands-on experience with data development, reporting, and business intelligence.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in application management and data analytics.
