Overview:
Independently performs programming and analysis functions to assist in the development and implementation of new systems, the revision of existing systems, and in support of special projects. Work collaboratively with all departments, and functions independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and hardware analysis using established system analysis techniques.
Responsibilities:- Provides support for the analysis, design and development for technology programs of moderate complexity and scope from relatively discreet requirements.
- Defines problems, collects data, and establishes facts. Determines conclusions and solutions with minimal assistance.
- Presents information effectively in small and medium group settings (informal presentations).
- Manage single-person projects from inception through completion including developing, testing, executing, and monitoring work plans.
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining system hardware and software (PACS, RIS, VNA, Document Management, Voice Recognition, and other software used for study reporting).
- Knowledge of DICOM and how DICOM system networks.
- Examines specialized equipment to determine the potential nature of software or hardware problems, or contracting off-site vendors to repair as needed. This includes modalities, computers, laptops, high-resolution reading workstations, 2D and 3D advanced visualization workstations, etc.
- Independently manages own workload. Exercises initiative to learn new skills to improve both performance and efficiency.
- Supports team members in meeting customer expectations.
- On-call rotation and some project work requiring off hours, weekend, and holidays.
- Has technical understanding of networking, server administration, server storage, infrastructure, and authentication methods for supported applications.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalency, with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong organization, analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills required.
