Apprentice Installer - The Sliding Door Company

Position Overview:

Provide support and assistance to the Lead Installer with the preparation and installation of sliding glass doors and their accessories.

Job Tasks:

• Provide support to the lead installer assisting with onsite Installations of Sliding Doors and their accessories
• Pull all necessary parts for the daily installation per the daily schedule
• Assist in the proper loading of the installation vans
• Assist in the clean-up of every job. Leaving the job site cleaner then when we arrive
• Good customer service skills
• Assist in warehouse cutting and assembly department when needed

Vehicle Preparation & Maintenance:

• Complete the Installer vehicle Inspection Sheet weekly to insure the safe mechanical condition of the vehicle
• Document all issues on the inspection sheet and report them immediately to the Operations Technician
• Ensure all required checklists (Tool and Equipment Checklist, Hardware Checklist, and Installer Spare Parts checklist have been completed

Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in finish carpentry and/or construction including installation of window and door products
• Experience using power and hand tools and or framing
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, manuals and company provided drawings
