Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining customer accounts, and ensuring timely collections. This entry-level position is perfect for someone with at least 6 months of relevant experience looking to further their career in accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments and post transactions to customer accounts.
- Generate and send customer invoices and statements.
- Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing AR aging reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support month-end closing processes and reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to address billing inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- 6 months of experience in accounts receivable or a related role.
- Proficient in MS Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
